Sound design for the theater play by Katalin Sofalvi, based on the same-titled drama of Werner Schwab
For this theater play director Katalin Sofalvi focussed on the inner life of the protagonists. I approached the sound design with the same focus and tried to find a sonic language that would respond to the emotions of the characters but keep abstract enough to avoid plain illustration.
I was mainly using self-recorded sounds of ropes, cords, textiles and wood regarding Katalin Sofalvi's understanding of the protagonists as marionette-like characters.
The play was shown in January 2012 at the Delphi Theater, Berlin Weißensee
